Miranda is the owner and founder of Sooner State Doula. Miranda's passion for maternal wellness began at a young age, after the birth of her youngest sister. Miranda noticed many gaps in the current maternal care model her mother experienced and thought that there had to be a better way. Years later she met a birth doula and after learning about their role decided to jump in head first.

As an education junkie, Miranda has pursued continuing education in nearly all aspects of maternal care, including postpartum support, trauma informed care, childbirth education and breastfeeding support.

Miranda grew up in Norman, Oklahoma (BOOMER SOONER!) and now lives a few miles away in the quiet town of Newcastle with her husband, two daughters, and her horse Fancy.

Miranda is also the Co-Owner of Simple Birth, and the Vice President of Oklahomans for Health and Parental Rights - PAC

Miranda has experience supporting women during VBAC's (including VBA3C), home birth, cesarean birth, unmedicated hospital births, military families, families with special needs, and so much more. She especially enjoys supporting OU student families, home births, teen and crisis pregnancies, and families affected by vaccine injury.

Andie is a DONA International trained birth doula. Her interest in doula work started with a simple question for Google - “What is a doula?” She immediately started searching for the next available doula training and decided to travel out of state to begin her doula journey as soon as possible. Shortly after her training, she met Miranda and joined her team.

Andie’s INFP Myers-Briggs personality type, as well as her love for comfort, makes her calm presence a great addition to a birthing environment. She embraces a hygge lifestyle, and can be the bridge to coziness and warmth. In addition to her passion for providing comfort, Andie seeks to empower her clients while providing the tailored emotional and physical support that they need.

Originally from Blanchard, Oklahoma, Andie lives in Mustang with her husband, Zack, and her pup, Boomer.

My name is Lindsay Branan. I am married and a mother of three boys. At 28 years old I gave birth to identical twin boys. It was planned from the moment my OB reviewed our first ultra sound there in her office. She said, "OK, you're having twins. They look identical--meaning they are in the same sack, so, with identical being a higher risk to mommy and babies, we are sending you to see a specialist. As long as everyone is healthy we will have these babies via C-section at 36 weeks...that is...let me see...May 22. Put that on your calendars. Congratulations mom and dad."

I am so happy to share that we DID welcome two beautiful, healthy baby boys into this world, and it has been a whirlwind ever since! I knew shortly after having my boys that the birth and early childhood world was where my heart thrived! Very early I knew I felt a pull toward caring for young children and babies. It wasn't until I became a mother, myself, that I realized that I felt that call to care for mamas like myself. My teenage plans, when I was not babysitting, included perusing a career in pediatric nursing, possibly a NICU RN. I soon realized I wanted to serve families and children as an educator.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 from The University of Central Oklahoma. I attended the national NAEYC conference in Dallas, TX in the fall of 2009 and graduated with honors. Soon after graduation, my husband and I started our family. I immediately knew I was made to mother. Six weeks after returning to my full time job I quit! Terrified, I gave up my car (our second vehicle) and told my husband I could and would sacrifice anything necessary to be their primary caretaker. I was made to nurture babies--THESE babies--and my heart ached to start NOW. Shortly after beginning my journey as a homemaker, I opened my home to in-home child care for 2 other children the same age as my twins' and provided full time care and preschool style curriculum including baby signing, rhythm & rhyme, pre-reading skills, and attended Early Bird Academy workshops along with my clients to encourage them to pursue continuing parental education.

My journey into natural or "crunchy" lifestyle came with my 2nd pregnancy. I was determined to have a vaginal birth and I wanted to know everything possible so that I was informed all the way. I educated myself and attended conferences including the National Birth Without Fear Tour/Conference in the fall of 2015. In the spring of 2016, with the help of a birth doula and my husband, I had a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and welcomed a healthy (nearly) 10 pound baby boy naturally and without medication. It was the closest to heaven that I have ever been, and my journey of childbirth discovery and doula service has only grown since. My goal is to help mothers achieve a peaceful and healthy postpartum experience through nurturing relationships and serving in the role in those precious weeks and months of your new baby's life. As a doula, caring for a mother's physical, mental, and emotional needs is my greatest delight.
